Kimberly Norman-Rosedam

Meet Kimberly Norman-Rosedam, an inspiring trailblazer in the building official field. As the first black female Building Official in CT and the first black person to run and head a State Building Department in CT, she's on a mission to provide safe and secure homes for all. Her dedication to education, safety, and inclusivity is what makes her stand out.


Under her leadership, the department is positively impacting Guilford's town hall and the town as a whole by prioritizing safety and setting a standard for the state. They believe that leading with their values can create a more just and equitable world. Kimberly's vision is simple: Safety First for everyone, as comfort, protection and security are fundamental human rights. With her unique perspective and unwavering dedication to safety, Kimberly Norman-Rosedam is making a difference in the town of Guilford.
